The Soul of A Nation
As I browse through social media, watch tv, listen to the radio, I am more aware of just how divided this country is. Why so much division? How did we get here?
Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came and the winds blew, and beat on that house, and it fell – and great was its fall. Matthew 7:24-27, Word English Bible.
A house divided cannot stand…how can two walk together unless they agree?
History tells us this nation was built by men of faith and everyone had the right to worship as they wished without persecution. So much has been established in the name of Christianity. Each false action each false statement is a crack in the foundation this country was supposedly built on. The United States is truly in a battle for its soul.
All Hollowed Eve 
Halloween evolved from All Hollows Eve. On this day the veil between the realm of the living and the dead is thin. All Hallows’ Eve originated from the pagan holiday honoring the DEAD.
According to the Christian calendar Halloween is the evening before All Hallows’ Day aka All Saints’ Day. A day Christians would pray for souls who had not yet reached heaven.
The wearing of costumes date back to ancient Samhain celebrations, the Druids dressed up in costumes made of animal heads and skins.
Around the turn of the first millennium, the church began to celebrate All Souls’ Day, November 2nd. Unlike All Saints’ Day, All Souls Day is recognized as a day of obligation, a ‘Holy Day’. (Election day of the United States is the Tuesday following the first Monday in November). Coincidence?
Pumpkin carving also come from the Samhain, where Gaels would carve turnips to ward off spirits.
Trick or treat grew from an ancient English custom of knocking on doors to beg for a “soul cake” in return the beggar’s promised to pray for the dead of that household. The song that was sung is similar to this : A soul cake, a soul cake, have mercy on all Christian souls for a soul cake.

We the people, not certain people but it did not say all people. We was not defined, it was taken for granted that the we included every one. We the people of the United States, in Order to preform a more perfect Union, establish justice insure domestic Tranquility provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.
Why have some been denied domestic tranquility, security of the blessings of Liberty and prosperity. Were the self-evident truths not meant for all, after all they were endowed by their Creator.
Until the Nation live up to these words and replace the weathered foundation with the true meaning of these words it’s going to continue crack, cracks untreated or repaired can spread. All people existed prior to the Constitution.

Was this a trick or a treat? Did they mean what they drafted. One day we all will have to answer for our actions. The Creator gave His created FREEWILL.
